「Rooms For Squares/John Mayer」を聴いた

  先月3月上旬に行われたOfficeの引越し。 販促物倉庫から出てきたということで、John Mayerの昔のAlbum「Rooms For Squares」(2001/Album)を聴いた。
  今まで、John Mayerはまったく素通り状態で来てたけど、これ結構いいです。とてもPopだし、Ameriacn Rock。Jazz、Blues、Soulと様々な要素が入ってる。それでいて、聴きやすく爽やかな曲調がいい感じ。 最近の初夏な季節にぴったり。
  で、気に入った曲は、1曲目「No Such Thing」、3曲目「My Stupid Mouth」、4曲目「Your Body is a Wonderland」、6曲目「City Love」、10曲目「Back to You」。そして、 X'masを歌ったBonus Track14曲目「(Untitled)」。
  こんないいAlbumを聴いてしまうと、Singer Song Writer Boomって何なんだろうって思うことしばし。Boom、Boomをと言われて、若干踊らされて、James BluntとかDaniel Powterとか去年来聴いてるけど、結局、そんなものはなくても、いい音楽はどこからかやってるもの(今回は倉庫から)。 ともかく、音楽含め、一期一会は大切。
