「Kailasa/Kailash Kher」を聴いた

  先月6月のインド出張。 そこで入ったCD Shopの店員さんに「一番Indiaで売れてるRock Musicを」 ということで勧められたKailash Kher。でAlbum「Kailasa」(2006/Album)を聴いた。
  Wikipediaとかで調べると、Kailash Kherって人は、 Sufi Music(イスラム教系の音です)のIndian Singerで結構流行ってるらしい。で、 彼のBandが"Kailasa"というらしい。Looksは完全、麻原彰晃状態なのですが、 音は確かにRockというより、Root Musicな感じ。やはり、Hindi Baseな音は音階が違うので、異国情緒漂うものだけど、 結構聴き込むとそれなりにくるものがある。今後、この手の音にはまることはないと思うけど、なんか興味深い。
