「Graduation/Kanye West」を聴いた

border="0" />  待望の "http://www.kanyeuniversecity.com/">Kanye West、3rd Album
「Graduation」(2007/Album)について(いまさらだけど...)。

  まずは、気に入った曲から。まずは1曲目「Good Morning」。このTrackで流れるChorusが、
なんか大袈裟だけど心地よい。で、2曲目「Champion」。CrapなRhythmが、これぞKanyeって感じ。Steely
Danを持ってくるあたりがニクイな。そして、3曲目「Stronger」。元ネタのDaft PunkをうまくSampling。
新しいHip Hopの方向性を示している。4曲目「I Wonder」。序盤のSoul Taste溢れたMelody
Lineからの流れがよい。で、5曲目「Good Life」feat.T-Painだし、Backing VocalはJohn
LegendとNe-Yoだし、Michael Jacksonの"P.Y.T.(Pretty Young Thing)"を入れてるし、
ほんと贅沢な曲。 そして9曲目「Flashing Lights」。タメ気味のBack Trackが好きなTaste。で、10曲目
「Everything I Am」。しっとりしたPianoの音とScratchがうまく溶け合って、いい感じ。しかも、
ScratchネタはPublic enemy。最高です。で、11曲目「The Glory」。ともかくJohn
Legendも参加してるChorusが印象的。そして、12曲目「Homecoming」。Chris Marti(from
Coldplay)が参加。弾けるRap感がよいです。

  このAlbum、LiryicもBeatもSamplingネタも含め、楽曲は粒ぞろいで、ほんと捨て曲がない。
どこか懐かしいんだけど、最新型Rapなんだよね。Jacketも内ジャケ含め、 "http://www.kaikaikiki.co.jp/">村上隆World炸裂だし、ジャケ買いした人も多いんだろな。
ともかく、期待を裏切らないKanye West。4作目も期待大。
