「22 Dreams/Paul Weller」を聴いた

  Paul WellerのAlbum「22 Dreams」 (2008/Album)を聴いた。
  このAlbum、約3年振りのReleaseだし、Soloになって9枚目となる。最初は、2枚組のAnalog RecordをImageして作られたらしい。確かに70分弱の大作なConcept Albumに仕上がっている。
  とりあえず、好きな曲は、M-01「Light Nights」、M-02「22 Dreams」、M-03「All I Wanna Do(Is Be With You)」、M-04「Have You Made Up Your Mind」、M-08 「Cold Moments」、M-11「Why Walk When You Can Run」、M-14「Echoes Round The Sun」、そしてM-20「Sea Spray」。
  このAlbumも、Noel Gallagher(from Oasis)、あのGraham Coxonなど、Paul Wellerを師と仰ぐ多くのArtistが参加してる。ほんと、God of Modsは相変わらず健在だ。で、このAlbumの印象は、 まさにHistory of British Rockという感じ。BeatlesとかStonesとかからも通じる、Stylishで、 幻想的で、退廃的なRock'n Rollを見事に詰め込んだ傑作。ほんとTitle通りの白昼夢なAlbum。
  先日観た"SUMMER SONIC 08-0809 SONIC STAGE-"でStageも、めっちゃかっこよかった。氏のLiveは、 死ぬまでに一度は行きたいもの。
