「Dig Out Your Soul/Oasis」を聴いた

  Original Albumとして2005年にReleaseされた"Don't Believe The Truth"以来約3年ぶり、OasisのNew Album"Dig Out Your Soul"(2008/Album)を聴いた。
  とりあえず、気に入った曲を選んでみる。まずは、M-01「Bag It Up」。 ゴリゴリした曲の質感とPsycheさがAlbumの期待感を高めてくれる。続いて、M-03「Waiting For The Rapture」。タメの効いたRhythmに、ちょっと懐かしい感じのMelody LineとChorus Lineがいい。で、 M-04「The Shock Of The Lightning」。Oasis節が全開な1st CDS。で、M-05「I'm Outta Time」。押さえ気味のMelodyにその秀逸さを感じるBallad Tune。そして、M-07「Falling Down」。LiamのVocalは本当に表情豊かだ。で、M-09「Ain't Got Nothin」。重いRhythm、 ギュインなGuitar、吐き捨てるよなVocal。まさに定番。で、LastのM-11「Soldier On」。 乾いた感じに彼らの年月の重さがつまってる。
　　今回自分が買ったのはUK盤のDelux Editionだったので、CDに加え、<DVD>が付いている仕様。まずは、 M-01「Gold & Silver & Sunshine」。これは、The Making of "Dig out Your Soul"ということで、Abeey Road Studios, LondonでのRecordingの模様が収録されている。 続いて、M-02「Making of 'The Shock of the Lightning' Video」とM-03「'The Shock of the Lightning' Video」。このAlbumからの1st Cut CDSである"The Shock Of The Lightning"の撮影の模様だが、ともかく、この曲のPsychedelic感がいろんな手法で表現されてる。ま、 このDVD、すべて英語Onlyだったので、正直、理解度は数%。雰囲気を楽しんだという感じ...。
  というわけで、このAlbumは、自分達で自ら立ち上げたLabel "Big Brother Recordings"からの初Release(あはは、いいLabel名だ)。なんか余裕な着合いと意気込みを感じたAlbumだ。 重低音な響きとPsychedelicなSoundが彼らの世界を広げてるよう。いいAlbumです。
  で、Oasisを聴き出して、すでに14年くらい経つけど、実はLiveは行ったことがない。そんな中、2009.3.28(Sat)の幕張メッセでAll Standing Liveが待っている。これはマジで楽しみ。さ、しっかりと予習だ。
