「Trash We'd Love/The Hiatus」を聴いた

The HiatusのDebut Album「Trash We'd Love」(2009/Album)を聴いた。
ともかく曲について書いてみる。M-01「Ghost In The Rain」。PianoのIntroでDramaticに始まる。新しい細美氏の帰還を祝福するような曲。M-02「Lone Train Running」。疾走感あふれるRock Tune。M-03「Centipede」。このサビで前に突っ込む光景が目に浮かぶEmo Music。自分的にこのAlbumでのBest Tune。M-04「Silver Birch」。悠々と高く飛んでるようなさわやかな曲。M-06「Storm Racers」。これもいい意味で定番な細美氏らしいMelody Line。ほんと、こんな高揚感ある曲を求めている。M-08「The Flare」。あの「Red Hot」を彷彿させるMelody。重音の中で、堀江氏のKeyboardsが冴えている。M-09「紺碧の夜に」。日本語と英語の見事な融合。これも、細美氏ならでは。M-10「ユニコーン」。優しい歌詞とMelodyが最高。#I just wanted to be with you and make you happy.Is this too much to ask for now#。
というわけで、全貌を現したThe Hiatus。エルレに+αがあって、完全に進化してる。収録時間約39分の美しくて、はかない傑作Rock Album。で、The HiatusのRIJF2009のStageは最終日Lakeの大トリ。一方で、Grassの大トリはユニコーン。もういじめとしか思えないTime Scheduleだけど、今の気分はThe Hiatusに一票という感じ。
