「Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live From Madison Square Garden」(WOWOW)を観た

　約40年ぶりに同じステージに立ったEric ClaptonとSteve Winwood。このLiveの模様がWOWOWで、「Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live From Madison Square Garden/エリック･クラプトン＆スティーヴ･ウィンウッド ライブ･アット･マジソン･スクエア･ガーデン」として放送された。ちょっと観てみた。
　これ、2008.2.28、N.Y.CのMadison Square GardenでのLiveの模様が収録されたもの。すでにDVDなどで「Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live From Madison Square Garden」でReleaseされているけど、この放送はこの映像からのダイジェストになっている。で、Eric ClaptonとSteve Winwoodといえば、1969年ごろのSuper Band "Blind Faith"のメンバー。たった1枚のAlbum「Blind Faith」をReleaseして、その後1年ももたずに解散してしまった。まさに伝説のBandだ。そんな彼らがおよそ40年ぶりに同じステージに立って、Joint Liveを行ったというのが、今回の映像になる。
　で、Liveのほうなんだけど、まさにBluesで、Rock'n Rollで、インプロでと、まさに60年代、70年代の匂いがプンプンしてくるもの。そんな中で、「Forever Man」、「Presence Of The Lord」、「After Midnight」、「Rambling on My Mind」、「Georgia on My Mind」など知ってる曲もなにげなく演奏されてた。それにしても、2人の声ってほんとに似てて、硬いMelody Lineに2人のアンサンブルがほんと合ってる。で、特によかったのは、「Little Wing」。SteveのKeyboradとEricのGuitarが転がって、ほんとにBluzy。結構はまりました。
