「The Doobie Brothers:Live at the Greek Theatre 1982 Farewell Tour」を観た

　日ごろの愛視聴番組の1つ、WOWOWの洋楽ライブ伝説。で、The Doobie Brothersの1982年の解散ツアー映像「The Doobie Brothers:Live at the Greek Theatre 1982 Farewell Tour」が「ドゥービー･ブラザーズ フェアウェル･ライブ 1982」として放送されたので、じっくり観た。
　これ、1982年、カリフォルニア州バークレイのThe Greek Theatreにて行われたThe Doobie Brothersの解散LiveであるFarewll Tourの最終日の模様が収録されたもの。彼らの代表曲を中心に構成され、過去Bandに在籍していたMemberもStageに上がり、異様な盛り上がりになっている。
　それにしても、「Listen To The Music」、「You Belong To Me」、「Long Train Runnin'」、「I Keep Forgettin'」、「Out On The Streets」、「What A Fool Believes」、「Jesus Is Just Alright」、「China Grove」などなど、昔聴いた名曲達がひさびさに蘇った。
　あらためてドゥービーの曲って、ほんとにバラエティに富んでる。Rock'n Rollなんだけど、BlackなR&B満載だし、DiscoなTasteも満載。まさにFree Soul Musicな音楽だらけ。いやー、懐かしかった。
