「Wrecking Ball/Bruce Springsteen」を聴いた

　BossことBruce Springsteenの17th Album「Wrecking Ball」(2012/Album)を聴いた。
　"Wrecking Ball"という工事現場の鉄球をTitleに、熱い怒りの魂が込められたAlbum。Irish Folkとか、Bluesとか、Gospelとか...まさにBruceらしい豊かなMelody。国を憂い、冷静に分析し、怒りを持って訴えてる。
　ともかくひっかかった曲を。M-01「We Take Care of Our Own」。イントロのDrumsの入り方とか、AlbumのOpeningをかざる力強さ。♪We Take Care of Our Own. Wherever this flag's flown♪(俺たちは自分のことは自分でなんとかするんだ　星条旗がどこで翻っていようと)というリフレインが印象的。M-02「Easy Money」。Bossらしい牧歌的で気持ちのいいNumber。M-03「Shackled and Drawn」。USっぽいおおらかなMelody Line。M-04「Jack of All Trades」。子守唄のような優しさ。M-05「Death to My Hometown」。Irish Folkな優しい力強さが最高。M-06「This Depression」。静かさの中に強い意志が光ってる。M-07「Wrecking Ball」。Folkyさで始まるAlbumのTitle Tune。このBruceらしいRockはまさにBossならではのもの。ClarenceのSaxが泣けた。M-09「Rocky Ground」。透明感ある女性Chorusがいい。M-10「Land of Hope and Dreams」。それでもちゃんと前を向かってる。そして、この曲のClarenceのSaxは凄い。
　そして、Bonus Trackへ。M-12「Swallowed Up (In The Belly Of The Whale)」。タメの効いた深いMelody。M-13「American Land」。まさにIrishでTradな音にあふれたMelody。聴いてるだけど、体が動き出す。Bonus Trackだけど、実はこのAlbumで一番好きなTuneかもしれない。
　それにしても、亡くなったClarence Clemonsに捧げた言葉は凄い。
　Clarence doesn't leave the E Street Band when he dies.He leaves when we die.
　Bossの変わらない高揚感を満喫できたAlbumでした。
