「Run to the Sun･Walk with Dreams/Dragon Ash」を聴いた

　2010年の「SPIRIT OF PROGRESS E.P.」以来、約2年ぶりにReleaseされたDragon AshのW-A SIDE SINGLE「Run to the Sun･Walk with Dreams」(2012/CDS)について。
　これ、先にReleaseされた15th ANNIVERSARY BEST「LOUD&PEACE」同様、Dragon AshらしいLoudな「Run to the Sun」とPeaceな「Walk with Dreams」というダブルコンセプトを基軸にしたW-A SIDE SINGLE。製作最終段階に差し掛かった4.21にIKUZONEを失い、まさにIKUZONEのLast Recordingとなってしまった2曲。JacketデザインはKjが描き、まさにR.I.P. IKUNONEというCDS。
　まずはM-01「Run to the Sun」。ひたすら前に向かっていくDAらしいTune。そしてM-02「Walk with Dreams」は夢を持ち続けて進んでいくことを宣言してる。この2曲は今年のRIJF2012でも演奏されたけど、熱狂的に盛り上がっていた。
　そして、M-03「Run to the Sun "RockStar mix"」。RemixはI.N.A.(hide with Spread Beaver)。キラキラしたArrangeがhide with Spread Beaveらしい。hideとIKUZONEがいる場所に届くといい。で、M-04「Walk with Dreams "Live On"」。Remixは(DIR EN GREY)。DIR EN GREYらしく重厚で静かな激しさがこもってる。IKUZONEの生前に一緒に演ることは叶わなかったようだけど、これもちゃんと届くといい。
　そして、DVDについて。
　M-01「Run to the Sun -video clip-」。Roller skatesの異様な疾走感が曲に合ってる。M-02「Walk with Dreams -video clip-」。Kjを中心にひたすら歩いていく。それにしても、この2曲にはIKUZONEのBassとかが映ってて、変わらない結束感が伝わる。
　そして、絶対観たかったM-03「REST IN PEACE IKUZONE -memorial video-」。これ、この夏行われたIKUZONE追悼Live "Dragon Ash Live～REST IN PEACE IKUZONE～"で上映されたスペシャルビデオ。IKUZONEにフォーカスされたメモリアル･ビデオなんだけど、DA15年のLive映像、PV、オフショットなどからピックアップされている。デビュー前のRecordingシーンから、IKUZONE最後のStageになった4/19渋谷O-EASTでのROTTENGRAFFTYのLiveまで、観ているだけで完全に涙腺が緩んだ。もうこれはやばい。
　あらためてR.I.P. IKUNONE...。
