「Oasis:Live from Manchester」を観た

　2007年にReleaseされたOasisのドキュメンタリー映像「Lord Don't Slow Me Down」。このDVDに収録されていた「Oasis:Live from Manchester」(2007/DVD)がMTVで放送されたので、ひっさびさに観見直してみた。
　これ、2005/7/2に地元Manchester Stadiumで行われたOasisの凱旋Live。1曲目から観客が前方に押し寄せ、柵が破壊され、Liveが中断してしまう。やはり地元ということで、盛り上がりも凄まじい。あらためてもう一度観ると、5曲目の「The Importance Of Being」などは今のNoel Gallagherの世界観にも通じるし、いろいろと発見がある。
　特によかったのは、「Cigarettes And Alcohol」、「The Importance Of Being」、昔から好きな「Little by Little」、Noiseまみれの「Acquiesce」、これもいい「Songbird」、イントロからのシンガロングに鳥肌が立つ「Live Forever」、超名曲の「Wonderwall」、「Rock'n' Roll Star」、これまた全部歌える「Don't Look Back in Anger」、The Whoのカバー「My Generation」あたり。
　やっぱりOasisって凄いBandだった。Beady Eyeも解散してしまったし、Liamの動向が気になる中、今でも再結成を待ってる自分がいる。
